Oh yes, you heard it right. Lego’s are not just for kids. At least not anymore. If you have children, you might want to warn them ahead of time to hide their Legos beneath their mattresses. After seeing this, you’re going to want to get your hands on some Legos–and fast!
One of the points of Not So Boring Life is to advocate doing things you wouldn’t normally do. This means stepping out of the box and engaging in new activities. Hopefully you’re trying out new hobbies and exploring the world instead of zoning out every night in front of the television!
And there’s no better way to spend a Friday night than by playing with Lego’s (okay, that’s debatable, but there’s no doubt it would be loads of fun). How do I know this? Well, check out this video and I think you’ll agree:
There are dozens of Lego videos like this on YouTube, one of the most popular being Thriller with Legos, which has over 2,000,000 views.
It could just be that I like Queen, but my personal favorite is the Bohemian Rhapsody video above. There’s also everything from Lego battles to a Lego beer song, to Harry Potter and Indiana Jones reenactments.
It’s actually surprising how many truly amazing things you can make using Legos. TechEBlog has a great list of the Top 10 Strangest Lego Creations, which features everything from a Lego iPod case to a Lego Volvo XC90.
While you’re probably not going to be able to build a Lego Volvo, you’ll be amazed by what you can do.
And of course, if you do have kids, there’s no reason not to let them in on the fun. It’s true Legos aren’t just for kids–but they’re not just for grown-ups either.
